BPN Team Examines Police Report on Prabowo Subianto

21 May 2019 14:45 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno campaign team (BPN) announced that it is examining the commencement of investigation notice (SPDP) by the Metro Jaya Police to the Jakarta Supreme Court.

The SPDP states that Prabowo and Eggi Sudjana are being investigated on charges of allegedly committing treason.

“The point is that we have received [the notice] and are examining it,” said BPN spokesman Andre Rosiade on Tuesday, May 21.

According to an image of the notice that spread online, the Metro Jaya Police sent the SPDP notice under the code B/9150/V/RES.1.24/2019/Datro to the Jakarta Supreme Court on May 17, 2019. The notice lists DR Suriyanto SH., MH., M.KN., as the person reporting Eggi Sudjana and Prabowo Subianto.

The notice lists Prabowo Subianto as an Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) retiree living at Bojong Koneng, Babakan Madang, Bogor District. Both men are reported for allegedly committing treason on April 17, 2019.

According to Andre Rosiade, Prabowo was reported by the same person who reported Eggi Sudjana because the SPDP is a development of a previous police procedure on a case incriminating Eggi. Metro Jaya Police chief of public relations Senior Commissioner Argo Yuwono has yet to return Tempo's calls and text messages for further confirmation.
